June 2021: Employee Spotlight: Erin Smyth

Erin is the dogger Dog Whisperer. She can lull into peace, leash and walk the most challenging of canines. Like the ones even we can't wrangle after all these years, without getting pooped or peed on.

Originally from Illinois, Erin moved to NYC to pursue a career in film and animation. Though she grew up with all cats and no dogs, Erin says she is absolutely thrilled to spend every day surrounded by cute pups. When not with dogs, helping out at HQ, or working on her art, Erin loves to watch the ducks in Prospect Park or play Dungeons & Dragons with her friends.

Spring 2021: Employee Spotlight: Jenny Schneider

Jenny has been with dogger since 2018, and we wanted to introduce her to those of you that don't know her. She's our social media and web content manager, as well as dog walker and pet sitter. Born and raised in Park Slope, she's a graduate of Brooklyn College (with a Psychology degree).

She loves photography, and is interested in a career in digital marketing. She's also an expert scooter rider, and you can see her zipping around between appointments like a super hero. Go Jenny! We're so glad to have you on our team!

Summer 2020: Employee Spotlight: Aurora McCrory

This month our spotlight shines on the fearless and fierce Aurora McCrory, who has bravely continued to work through the Quarantine. She's been walking and taking care of essential worker dogs throughout the summer, and we're all so grateful for her hard work!

Aurora grew up outside of Detroit with three pups and countless cats, always with a huge love for all her furry friends. A recent Acting Conservatory graduate, she has always dreamed of living in NYC —and those dreams came true when she moved here in 2016! 

A passionate theatre artist, dog walking has always been her favorite job in between acting gigs, especially because she loves dogs but her building doesn’t allow them. She does have two kitties though - Saki and Tofu, and they are the loves of her life. She’s also a yogi and a self-proclaimed avid literature geek! We're so glad Aurora's on the team, and can’t imagine dogger without her!

May 2020: Employee Spotlight : Tommie Morgan

This month our spotlight shines on the wonderful Tommie Morgan, who fearlessly continues walking our South Slope dogs (who still need service) through the Quarantine. Tommie is a musician and a singer and a totally awesome dude. He always makes us laugh, and has the coolest smooth jazz vibes. (Which is also what he often listens too, because honestly, don’t we all need to listen to more smooth jazz in these times? Rather than, say, murder podcasts). 

Originally from Dallas, Tommie moved to New York in ’89 and now lives in South Slope where he focuses on recording his sophomore solo album COPASTETIC (Pancake Studios), as well as vocal coaching and editing books. (And part time dog walking of course). In the past he’s done a myriad of interesting things besides producing and performing music, such as modeling for Ralph Lauren, performing in theaters and podcasts, working for the NYS Board of Elections, and working in a Versace Boutique among other things. He says that the best part of the dog walking gig is: “My four legged buddies let me run songs by them, and they don't howl, run and hide”. We are so happy he’s a part of the dogger pack!

March 2020: Employee Spotlight: Trudi Rosenblum

A true New York City native, Trudi has been with dogger since 2016, and has been a professional dog walker for 17 years! Think of how many miles she must have walked by now! People pay good money to get that kind of exercise, but for her it’s an awesome lifestyle.

In a prior life, Trudi was a magazine journalist, but after having kids she decided she was happiest being out and about having fun with dogs and cats (just like us!) Currently she lives in Windsor Terrace with her family, and knows the layout of those crazy streets better than anyone else in Brooklyn. We couldn't run dogger with out her, she’s a real pet professional and we’re so lucky to have her!

February 2020 Employee Spotlight: Taylor Argenbright

Taylor is our General Manager, and she is in charge of all the scheduling, walker training, and problem solving. She is also in the midst of learning to be a Dog Trainer! When she completes her certification, we hope she will stay on as the dogger in-house trainer.

Having moved here from Florida in the summer of ‘16, Taylor leapt into a full walking schedule in record time. She averaged about 100 miles per day in 100 degree heat, going across 5 different neighborhoods, and using every mode of transportation from train to Citibike to bus to scooter to foot. It was amazing and we literally would have died without her.

A talented and classically trained dancer, Taylor has that magical quality of being able to hypnotize the small anxious doggies, the ones who hide under beds and have little freak outs about going out. Though the big scary dogs love her too!
