DOGGER DAYCARE RESPONSIBILITIES

DOORS

Dog Arrivals

  • Open door when bell rings

  • If outside make sure you can hear ringer on your phone

  • Close doors/gates behind you so other dogs don’t escape

  • Be friendly to clients

  • Hang leash in hallway and label

  • If dog arrives with bags: label each item and store in back room cabinet, label spot with dog’s items

  • Check for medicine in bag, if there, write “+ meds” on label that marks dog’s spot in cabinet

  • Scan dog in with dogger phone

  • Add dog’s name to blackboard

  • Check dogger phone who else is arriving today

Dog Departures

  • Check backroom if they came with a bag

  • Make sure all pictures are in appt - if have outdoor pics on your phone, take pics of pics

  • Scan dog out in dogger phone

  • Use prepared note or write own note, cheerful and several sentences

  • Erase dog’s name from blackboard

  • Check dogger phone to see who else is leaving today

PHOTOS

  • Take multiple photos of each dog, preferably in a group, for each dog’s appt in the dogger phone

  • Minimum 3 photos inside, 3 outside (in the yard, on a walk)

  • Use dogger phone for indoor pictures

  • Use own Petcheck appt for outdoor pictures (on walk or in yard)

  • Use dogger phone to take pics for the dog’s appointment, of the pics in your appt

  • Don’t forget to check previous day’s appointments, many overnights are still scanned in there, don’t forget their pics

  • Overnight scan-ins are every 24 hours

  • Scan in overnight dogs if it’s time

YARD TIME

  • Pick up poop in yard FIRST, before letting dogs out

  • Don’t let them all out at once, they will bark

  • MINIMIZE barking

  • Put a bark collar on Becca (vibrate mode)

  • Best to let out a few at a time until they’re all out there

  • Pick up poop

  • Take photos with your phone (using your appt in petcheck)

  • Take photos as soon as you can while they’re playing and running around, usually within a few minutes most of them want to go inside and then you missed the opportunity

  • This is because the dogger phone is only on wifi, not on cellular. It looses connectivity when outdoors, and then any pics take when not connected disappear

FEEDING

  • Breakfast around 9am for overnight dogs only

  • Dinner around 7pm for overnights and any day visitors here past 7pm (unless told otherwise)

  • Never feed dogs together

  • Put each dog in one of the 2 back rooms, one a time

  • Once the dogs are there and alone, 1 in each room, make sure doors are closed

  • Then give them their food

  • Make sure all dogs get their proper meal and medication: read notes

  • Typically a medium dog gets about a cup of kibble plus some wet food mixed with water

  • Make sure no more food leftover in bowl before putting in next dog

  • Wash bowl afterwards and put on top of cabinet

  • Always make sure water is refilled, wash bowl if looks dirty

CLEAN UP

  • If you see a pee/poo, quickly clean up

  • Poop can be disposed of in toilet, or in outdoor trash can using doggie bag

  • Do not put poop in kitchen trash can

  • Use clorox to spray area where poop was, then mop

  • Mop up pee twice

  • If mop water dirty, dump in toilet, replace with hot water and splash of bleach
